Hi Team,

We configured packet fence currently and only the below mentioned options are working. But we have 3 normal VLANs in network how do we auto redirect users to each one of it.
Is there any specific configuration which needs to be done in switch side or packet fence server side? Please help me on this.

Working options

1. Registration Vlan working (for authentication users)
2. Isolation Vlan working (for unauthorized users)
3. Capital port working
4. Redirecting to normal VLAN for only particular VLAN (here we need help on redirecting to multiple VLANs).

Regards,
Ugandhar

Hello Ugandhar,

PacketFence use role in order to differentiate users.

So when a user hit the portal, he use his credentials, then PacketFence
use the authentication source to authenticate and to compute the role
and access duration.

So first you need to create rules in your authentication source to
differentiate staff/student/BigBoss/...

Next in switches configuration you can see that you have a role tab, in
this tab you will be able to map a role to a vlan id.
