Hello,

I would like to ask some help regarding the usage of packetfence.

I'm using virtualbox and I've set up an inline enforcement mode of
packetfence. I've done the configuration setup in the Inline Deployment
Quick Guide using ZEN.

So far, I can see the nodes that connects to the network, but the devices
are not redirected to the captive portal.
Since I'm using an unsupported router, and having no switch as well, I'm
getting confused how to proceed.
What I want to attain is that, when a device connects wirelessly into the
network, it is redirected into the captive portal and become a registered
device via local authentication.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Ian,

We will need more info to help you.

Also, as a first step, make sure the client obtains a valid IP address THAT IS COMING FROM THE PACKETFENCE SERVER

You could also make sure the client is communicating with the PacketFence server by using tcpdump.

Can you provide networks.conf along with the IP your client is getting.

Cheers!
dw.
